Fondant Purse w Basic Carving

$ 60 (most supplies included) – Limit 6 students
We will start with a square cake layer… learn some basic carving skills, then cover the cake in fondant to resemble a lady’s purse. Class includes leopard print painting techniques.
Supplies Needed: (*most are provided)
- 8” square cake layer
- Be sure your cake layer is a full 2” high and is level
- Firm-textured cake is best
- Please don’t bring chocolate, it’s very messy!
- Serrated knife (for carving)
- Turntable (*optional)
Instructor: Carol Lowe
We are excited to welcome award winning cake artist Carol Lowe, from Auburn Hills, as she joins us to teach classes for one weekend only. Carol has been decorating cakes since we all rode dinosaurs (*her words – not mine! J)… and teaching for almost as many years. She has competed and won awards in several national cake competitions, and greatly enjoys sharing her skills and talent with others in the classroom. You are sure to have a great time… lots of laughs… and leave with many new skills!
